Notes taken from the Year 's EOTC Caving Day - Glow Worms

GLOW WORMS:

  1. They are 2.5 cm
  2. They are called Titiwai in Maori.
  3. They glow to attract prey.
  4. They live in a dark, damp environment.
  5. They have a four stage life cycle.
  6. They like places that are less windy or no wind at all.
  7. They have sticky silk so they can hang around.
  8. The glow worms are larvae of flies.
