Caving Trip
Yesterday, the 26 of August, the Year 7s went to Mount Bruce to go caving.
When we got there we went through the safety stuff. Then Beachy (the teacher) told us a scary story.
After that we had to put on some helmets for our safety. Then we had to walk about 100 meters along the roadside and we asked to see how many trucks could toot their horn for us. Then we had to cross the road. After that we had walk through the farmland to the cave.
When we got to the cave the we had to wait for Beachy to tell us about the cave and what is in the cave.
Then we had to get into the cave. At first I found it scary but then I got use to it. There were only a few wetas at the start of the cave but they didn’t bother us. Then we had to go deeper in the cave and that is when we got muddy. After a while we got to the end.
When we were coming back that was the hard part because we had to go up the cliff things. As we were coming out we got a photo taken of us when we were climbing out of the cave.
I did it and it was fun.
