Discovery afternoon on the banks of the Mangatarere Stream

Sunday 24^th May 1pm to 3pm (please be on site by 12.45pm)

Thank you for taking an interest in the restoration of the Mangatarere Stream. We are just completing our third year of work as an Incorporated Society and have pleasure in inviting you to celebrate our Connolly’s Line restoration project.

Please be on site by 12.45pm –- the official naming and blessing will start at 1pm with a karakia for the springs and reserve.

What is happening:          Naming and blessing of this site
                                        Tree planting for community groups
                                        Tree naming competition for kids and their parents
                                        Environmental displays and demonstrations
                                        Marshmallow and sausage sizzle on the river bank

What to bring:                  Gumboots and raincoats (the event will go ahead if raining). No dogs please.

Car parking:                     Please follow signs - available from 12.30pm in the paddock above the restoration area
