An invitation to attend the next Whanau Hui

In 2014 Ngati Kahungunu launched their iwi education plan for the Wairarapa. Since then the iwi has hosted two hui per term for schools and whānau in the South Wairarapa.
These SWSWAG hui (South Wairarapa Super Whanau Advisory Group) have included teachers and whānau from all of the early childhood, primary and secondary schools in the region.
They have all been a great chance to get together to hear from iwi leaders such as Lynette Bradnam and Maxine Hemi and just to talk together about how we can work together to support the learning of all Māori students.

The next hui is on the 2nd of June at the Hurunui-O-Rangi Marae in Gladstone. We have been invited to be part of the Tangata Whenua.  If you or your whanau would like to go please email Lesley Standish and let her know (for catering purposes).

 Thank you!
