Chrome Books

Yesterday we got 5 Chrome Books for our class!  We are so excited to work and create on these and to share our learning with others.

Bully Free Me Evening Tonight

This Thursday, 7 May, we are hosting a Bully Free Me Wairarapa presentation in our hall. The doors open 6.30pm, presentation starts 7pm. 

This is a very informative evening which covers - understanding bullying and violence - developing resilience to bullying - the impacts on the brain - a parents’ experience - cyber safety. 

Local experts will share their knowledge and there is a time for informal chat after the meeting. Everyone is welcome.

Mufti Day is on Friday

Mufti Day is on tomorrow.  It is to support Nepal.  Students have been asked to wear the flag colours of Nepal - blue, white and red.  They have been asked to bring a gold coin donations which will be sent to help the victims of the earthquake.

ANZAC Inquiry Celebration

To celebrate and finish off our ANZAC inquiry we will be heading to the ANZAC Museum on Broadway.  We will be heading down at 9:15am this Friday (8th May).  You are more than welcome to come and join us.  We will be back at school around 10:30.

What’s on this week – Week 3 Term 2 2015

Across NZ this week is Road Safety Week.

The theme is Look out for kids, focusing on keeping some of our most vulnerable road users, children, safe.

Monday –

Draw Week 1-2 brainstorm homework

Tuesday –

Technology.  Covered shoes essential and girls need to tie up their hair.  

Kapa Haka 1pm – 1.45pm.  

Large ball skills team rotation TBC

Wednesday ––

Basketball afterschool (for some students)

Thursday –

Library and Computer

Doug Bracewell Yr 7 Leadership (for some students)

Friday –

Buddy class 11:35

Team sport 2:15

Year 8 Whanau – I still have a couple of parents to contact in regard to the home visit so I will be organising those this week.

Year 7 Whanau – I will also be contacting you this week to make a time to see you all as soon as I have completed my visits with the Year 8 Whanau.

Google docs – your child has their class log-in and can find any homework etc on Google Drive.  Plus you can see what they have been doing in class if they are using a device or netbook.
