My Kitchen Rules!

Yesterday we planned what we could make to give our fathers for Father's Day.We made a list of all our ideas and choose the best two (which was cookies and chocolates).We choose what group we wanted to go in (I went in cookies).In my group was Shelby,Francis, Trinity Else and me .We planned what kind of cookies we wanted to make.  We decided on m&m cookies.  We wrote down the recipe.Then we got put into groups Trinity and Francis was on shopping, Else was on cooking and me and Shelby were on cleaning and packaging.Then after everyone did their jobs Shelby and I packaged the cookies. Ms MacGregor took a photo and we got to take them home and give them to our dad’s for Father's Day:-]

Fathers Day Cook Off by Adrian

Yesterday we had a ‘Fathers Day gift cook off’ between Chocolate and Cookies and I was team Chocolate. It wasn’t that good that the chocolate melter got really messy and it took a while to clean. I remember that the chocolate looked really yummy and I couldn’t eat it. The best part of it was smashing the m&m’s to go with the chocolate. I learnt that chocolate can set quite fast if you leave it in room temperature. I am feeling good about giving the chocolates to my dad early (before I ate them) because he looked like he enjoyed them. I think that it was really fun making the chocolates even though we didn’t win the competition.  Next time I will try even harder to win.

AB Visit - By Else

AB’S Visit:

The All Blacks came to our school yesterday.   Ma’a Nonu, Victor Vito and Nehe Milner -Skudder came to our school hall. I was shaking the whole time while I was videoing (the whole of the special assembly). When Briar went to get the signed rugby ball  she won, she got to have a hug from all of the All Blacks. One thing that I did not know before the assembly is that Nehe Milner -Skudder can eat 12 Weet-Bix.

Yesterday the All Blacks visited our school. It was pretty cool. The All Blacks that came were Ma’a Nonu,Victor Vito and Nehe Milner-Skudder.  They were asked questions, got given some chocolate and some Kawakawa Balm.  The best part was when they walked into the hall and they were high fiving all the kids and the haka was awesome as well.

Week 3  - Thursday 29 October / Friday 30 October

Please contact me if your child cannot attend - otherwise we will presume that they still have permission to go to Powell Hut.
